Todays update:

been to see munchkin twice and he has now eaten very well.....2 pouches and some dry food!!! he is being spoilt at work, he has his own compost litter trays, brought his own food in as well as having his own personal nurse!!!!

hope things work out well for him - was in a similar situation with one of mine just over a week ago - but luckily ended up with something a lot less serious in the finish

when i left at 7 he was doped up to the eyeballs on methadone but was recognising my voice and was trying to wash his face

fingers crossed he starts to eat.

I think 90% of the staff i have spoken to today have had to put up with me having tears in my eyes and a wobbly voice, thankfully my department was v busy today so kept me occupied it was when things i am normally good at went wrong that got me upset, like i was doing a bp but couldnt find a pulse anywhere and i burst into tears!!!!

ok so smudge had his op today was in for 3 hours!

he ended up having 6 sections which weren't great but they were fairly close together so still got away with the 2 sections resected in his jejunum/duodenum, his liver/spleen and pancreas were also biopsied and wer opted to put an oesophagostomy tube in as his appetite had been decreasing and i'd rather have it in and not use it than not have it in and need it.

so now gotta get him through the weekend and wait for the results to come through next week. then we can proceed with chemo if its lymphoma or wait and see how he goes if its anything else.

been a complete state today bursting into tears several times!!!

Thanks for the message, I will keep everyone posted, I am just glad I work where I do and know what I do otherwise we would have lost him last year with his haemangiosarc and a severe cholangio-hepatitis

he is my little munchkin or sausage boy (dont ask lol) will be on tenterhooks tomorrow waiting for him to come out of theatre

Aww, hope he does ok! It's heartbreaking when they go through stuff like that, I think its worse for us than for the general public cause we know all the risks and possibilities! Let us know how he gets on tomorrow!! Keeping my fingers crossed for him
