&lt;p&gt;One f my dogs is deaf and had her from a puppy too, I trained her by hand signals and my &amp;quot;hearing&amp;quot; dog (same age) was also taught this way as well as verbally.&amp;nbsp; There is a really good website (will find it for you shortly) which is very helpful.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Have never used the vibrating collar but have heard that in some cases it works very well.&amp;nbsp; One thing I do to get my deaf dog attention is to use a torch and shine it on the ground near her when I want to ge her attention.&lt;/p&gt;
