College don't know yet. Don't even have the workbook that i was supposed to have gotten at the start of term to record my hours in. Will have to speak to my tutor about it.

What does the college say about it? Surely if they're providing a course it's as much their responsibility to ensure the placements are adequate as its part of your course and learning...I really think this is a matter your course tutor needs to take up with the placement, and if necessary help you find another placement

Yeah, i think u may be right about another placement. I don't like the idea of sitting around and waiting for the vet to decide whether she wants to give me room in the surgery. I can't see what her problem would be personally as i have little contact with the vets, but i am a mere student and therefore can't really see things from the vet's perspective.

See if they will give you a reference and start looking for another placement, dont rely on this one coming back, sounds a bit dodgy.

You could say that college requires a valid reason for the suspension. Its not like you have been negligent?

I was never paid 2 start wiv Sal, i'm doing the BTEC National Diploma in Animal Management and was only there 1 day a week. I'm a volunteer, i go and do loads of cleaning 4 them every week cuz thats the only thing i can do really other than help the groomer, scrub surgical kits and fold drapes. Needed the work placement 4 college as gotta clock up 240 hours by the end of the 2 years. Practice manager says i can call in 2 months n see if anythings changed and i can come back. 2 months is a long time tho and there's no guarantees.

That sounds very unfair and wrong to me...sorry to hear it Surely if they want to concentrate on business a helping hand (you!) would be helpful?!

I don't know why she doesn't want to work with me, practice manager wasn't very clear. Something about they need to concentrate on business and what the vet wants, the vet gets.
