Lets face it, there are people in the government who think that fox hunting is a fun way to pass the time and think that mating 2 closely related dogs to produce a prettier pedigree is fine, regardless of the fact that it increases the risk of breed spcific disease.

The problem is with the punishment they get, (or won't as the case will be!!!!) They will probably get a slap on the wrist and that's it.

yeah thats a well known theory about people starting out by torturing animals then move onto kids, then adults. Its a power complex thing. (did psych degree before vet nursing ) Police are probably trained to know this but it seems goverment aren't as punishment for these horrible crimes is minimal! really gets my back up!!

i saw the rabbit one one the front page of the local newpaper today at college - in break at the newsagents - need those carbs to last a full day! lol

I didn't buy it (the paper), but am glad it was front page!

Did they name the girl? I thought so in my quick scan, but not sure. Tho' people ususally get named for crimes, so hope she did too!

I read about the rabbit one on the brc forum the other day and i was disgusted, its so sad that animal welfare still isnt being managed and monitored properly. In the past year my practice has seen a dog stabbed by its owner cos its was barking and 'doing their head in' and a dog that was starbved to almost death cos she split with her boyfriend and it was his dog. Th first person got no charges and their dog back and the socond person also got away with nothing. How can this happen whilst these animals suffer?
