Just an update for anyone interested. We have now raised £3k and still have the tabletop sale to go. If anyone else would like to donate, there are just 2wks left to get any money in before I go to the bank for the official cheques to present to the charities when i go over shortly after that. Thanks again to everyone who has helped!

We did it! Am just home from my night in Derby Gaol and it was fantastic, thoroughly enjoyed it although also extremely creepy and we DID have several weird experiences and some very scary moments. I took quite a few photos, one of which I'm dying to see enlarged on the computer - I heard an unexplained noise down the end of a pitch back corridor (the candles had all burned out bar one by this time, around 3.30am) so I just pointed my camera down there and took a picture with the flash and although the screen on the camera is very small and so not particualrly clear, I can see that there is something bizarre on it which I can't make out, possibly an orb or similar. Intriguing! Anyway, am totally knackered now and need my bed as nights have never suited me and am worn out from all that energy of trying to make contact (and no, we didn't just sit in a locked cell, he had us doing seances and the full works!) so night night all. Think I may have found me a new hobby, albeit not sponosred thenext time!

One week to until Gaol and we're up to £1500. I'm also doing a tabletop sale at Easter in order to have a final push to get to that elusive £1800 (which would make it 1000 euros to each charity). Just wanted to share that as am feeling really excited and quite overwhelmed at everyone's generosity!

That would be great - let me know if you need the details again. You need to make the cheque payable to me though as the practice don't take cheques anymore due to cost of banking them but you can send it to the practice address.

Just thought I'd update anyone who's been following our progress. We've now reached £1250 and still seem to be going strong. Today a client came to collect her dog's ashes and donated £100 in his memory which really touched me. Keep it coming and thanks to everyone who has supported us so far!

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who's supported us so far! We've had a brilliant response from local newspapers, reps from several of the pharmaceutical companies we deal with, friends, family and colleagues.

I should also have added that my trip is totally self funded as is the nominal fee the Gaol have charged us for holding the event there - none of this will come out of sponsorship or donations. I have been asked this question a few times already so thought I'd add it in!
