To top it all I'm getting random bills I wasn't expecting, car MOT issues

Re: So very stressed out

Oh Steph, I do sympathise hun Big hugs!!! I don't have any children in tow but I do have three cats, two which have never been anywhere but here. We've been given notice to vacate the property by the 1st of May because they want to sell it. So we've had to find a new place to live in less than two months, i just started a new job which is really long 12hr days driving round to peoples houses to look after them. then on top of it I have two other jobs as well, one teaching disabled to ride once a week and the other is a domestic job i do three mornings a week. I've gone over my reserve in my account and I'm freaking out too. :( We've found a place to live but don't have the time to move!! I've ordered a box pack from ebay and we will most likely have to move by ourselves over easter weekend. :(

Re: So very stressed out

try breaking it down into rooms if you can - it can look less daunting that way. I usually start in the bedroom(s) packing away all clothes that wont be needed (getting rid of any that really wont be needed ever!) and anything else that can be packed so all you are left with is the bed and bedding and a few bits, then the bathroom, then the lounge and last the kitchen do a few boxes/ bags a night and it wont seem such a huge task

Good luck with the move - I hate moving but have had to 4 times in 5 years

Re: So very stressed out

Thanks guys - I just need to chill the f*** out I think I'm terrible for working myself into a panic over things!!

Re: So very stressed out

I've moved 5 times in the last 3 years, every time I tell myself I'm going to start preparing well in advance but I always leave it to the last minute - not good! The move before last was the worst, coming from Glasgow to Northern Ireland, I tookthe ferry over a couple of times with car loads of stuff beforehand but still ended up on the night I had to be out of my original flat staying up ALL night packing, to go over on the ferry at 6am... to say I was stressed would be a slight understatement...

I've found my animals cope well with moving, although they're probably used to it by now...

Re: So very stressed out

Moving is very stressful-it can feel overwhelming.

I can still recall how wound up I was when we were moving (2 yrs ago this Friday)- I tried to be ruthless selling stuff or binning it. Problem was husband wanting to keep stuff 'that might be useful'. And I think I could have been even more ruthless if I had stuck to my guns.

Look after yourself.

Re: So very stressed out

i really feel for you. In the last year i have moved house twice and changed jobs at the same time, both times! Moving is so stressful anyway and to have extra money worries doesn't help. Try and take a little bit of time out to de-stress.
