Your right, I was convinced it was some form of epilepsy, thanx Kim that link is really good and informative, will need to read it properly tomorrow so I know whats what and if you could let me know where I could access the article that would be great x

At least you know what it is now. I'd never heard of it before! The vet said he's got an article about it somewhere so he's gonna find it and I'll have a read.

OMG!!! I think Scamp might have this! He has had about 5/6 wee fits and he does that stretching thing quite a lot, I had him in for blood test and all normal, I thought it was maybe a mild form of epilepsy but this disease describes him to a tee!!! Oh my poor wee boy

OK so took Millie into work today and full clinical exam showed nothing. Bloods were all normal apart from a slightly rasied urea but urine SG fine so put it down to being starved.

Vet thinks that she might have a mild form of canine epileptoid cramping syndrome or spike's disease. It's a condition seen in border terriers. http://www.borderterrier-cecs.com/index.htm

I'd never heard of it before but I suppose it supports what she is doing. She's quite happy though so won't be doing anything. Will just have to wait and see if it gets any worse.

Well spoke to my vet today and he said that the walking thing can be associated with liver problems. Going to take her in tomorrow for a full heam and biochem and a bile acid stim test. Really hope she's ok. As much as I moan about her, I love her to bits!

Not a stupid question at all. No nothing has been put on the carpet. My other dog isn't doing it so I'm thinking it must be something behavioural. Oh she did eat a ginger biscuit today! Don't see how that would do anything though.

Me too, Scamp is 3 in August and Sky is 2 in August, they absolutely adore each other, its so funny to watch them interacting, Scamp is a typical boistrous boy and very vocal whereas Sky is so laid back shes horizontal!! I would fill the house with them if I could x

Excuse the potentially obvious question but you haven't used any chemicals or powders on the carpet recently that could be irritating her paws or she's weirdly attracted to?!

She does have an obsession with chasing light but nothing like that that I can see on the carpet. She does stare at things quite a lot to. Maybe it's a border thing. She has always been a bit special!

My 2 Border Terriers do crazy things all the time!! Is there something on the carpet, maybe a fly or something, she could be stalking it! Thats the way Scamp acts when hes stalking something. Hes at this moment lying on my bed staring at the ceiling! I cant see anything but hes got that look in his eye thst he sees something he could kill x

Yeah I might mention it to my vet tomorrow and see what he thinks. She is a very strange little dog. She's now fast asleep in the middle of the floor snoring like a trooper!

She just keeps picking up her feet quite high and walking really slowly. Sorry had to explain. She doesn't normally do it but mum said she's been doing it all day. She'll be 9 in October.
