Would say l was confused about the way the night went. Having sent in my q l thought it would be brought up, it wasn't so l asked it afterwards. So bear that in mind do not wait for you "Q turn" pile in to the questions.

And does it count as CPD?? lol the reason I ask is I think i may need an hour off work to make said buffet supper and I am more likely to get that hour if I say I have cpd

Yep those times are right. We will send an invite to all those living within a reasonable travelling distance a bit nearer the time - although all are welcome.

The thing to stress about these meetings is that there is no agenda - we just go with the questions as put to the panel (which includes members of VN Council). So come armed with your qus! We have had a few feedback forms from VNs in the past saying - 'not enough VN issues raised' - which is a bit frustrating as it's down to you guys to pose the questions. Usually about 20% of the audience is made up of VNs.

I will shortly be putting up a report of the Preston meeting online. I am afraid there is a gap on the website where the previous two reports should be (Lincoln and Cornwall) which is entirely my fault :-( Will get there eventually!

They sent everyone in the NW area an invite (well they said and l got my info there) l saw it advertised l think it was vet times and l did post here 2 different times about it. See if anyone else was going once about 3 weeks ago and think the night before.(no one answered either post) In future l shall scream a lot louder and send it via jungle drums. It was possibly advertised in the events section on here as well.

If you contact rcvs direct and ask when / where their next question time is they tend to travel last was lincolnshire area igf l remember sal saying.

You can also go on the meet the rcvs day that l went on they pay your travel expenses and you spend the day down london was very good. Split into 2 groups of 6 and go to all depts. have a talk and then ask q. At end of the day have a general group chat.

Vicky you are right about the title it is only an rcvs thing and not a legal title.

It is a pity that more nurses do not go to meetings and harass the rcvs, by being silent we are walked on. It opens my scope of q out as well and am happy to do it... Caro... I didn't know about the meeting..... I may have been informed thru some letter or publication, but to be honest, nowadays my main source of info in the VN or RVN world is thru this site..... most post/ paperwork gets put in a pile and looked thru every few months when I am not working/ surviving/ trying to get enough sleep etc etc....................so next time pls let us all know and there will be appropriate responses / questions/ statements and supprt for you.... Thanks for keeping us informed and thanks for representing us and supporting us
