10 - 15pence on the cost of a drink could make a big difference to the amount raised and little difference to those buying them - not suggesting the prices are hiked too much, this is quite common btw for charity does

The price seems reasonable, have you seen what they charge a BSAVA saturday night!

As for as the drinks, if i went somewhere that i found the drink to be expensive i probably wouldn't go again.

So if you want to make it a regular, make sure those that do go; get good food, good entertainment and have a wonderful night. They will say to others that it's worth what they pay.

That is a good idea, if you think putting up the cost will stop people coming...cos once they're there they will spend the money of drinks cos they have no choice!

I would be happy to pay that, I would spend more than that on a night out so at least you would be doing your bit for charity and having a good time too

If you want to support the charity as the reason to go it is fine. If you just want to go to a dinner dance then it is to much. I think perhaps people that say it is to much are missing the point on what the reason is and think of the former not the latter. Perhaps try and explain to them a bit more how the money will be dealt.

I also would be more than happy to pay that amount, its for a charity so will benefit a very worthwhile cause.

I have been to various dinner dance nights that were that price. I would be happy to pay that money for tickets.

There is no point just covering the cost, and at least £25 sounds very reasonable to me. It sounds like you are planning quite a night!! I'd pay £25+ for something like that, especially if it's to raise money for charity. x

The cost seems very fair as charity functions that are similar I've attended have often been between £35-50 depending on the event. Surely for charity you have to expect to pay a bit extra to raise any funds!

We are attending business awards on Friday night and this is £35 + VAT for 3 course meal and disco if that helps with any prices

Personally i would pay the £25-£30, like you say it's for charity, no point in just covering costs!
