I've increased the amount of exercise that I am doing. Never believed that doing exercise could improve your mood. I have been using the wii fit and actually managed to do a full hours squash this morning before coming to work. Feeling better today.

Been having a heart to heart this week and we are both feeling a bit better about things.

Just doing some portfolio work at work and nagging my assessor to mark some more of my portfolio as want to make sure that I can apply for the summer written exams.

I am trying! Well things are getting better as I have now kinda caught up with my portfolio and am starting to start sorting all my stuff out for a my revsion. Eeeep exams are getting ever closer!

I feel your pain. It has been a struggle for my other half and I to create a situation that works and that we are both happy with. My partner is a gamer as well and I know all too well how they can get lost in their own little world and forget all about us girls.

After both being disappointed with having to spend so much time nagging each other we finally sat down and had a nice long chat about it. Problem sorted....Or at least we are on the same page now so we don't resent each other for not being able to do it all.

We planned a day when we were both off work and cleaned/organized the flat together...We actually got it done in a couple hours and had time to order a few things from Argos to make life a little easier. Now we keep a To Do list in the kitchen and everyday we both try to help out a little...do a few dishes, take out the rubbish, put on a load of laundry etc... As long as it doesn't take away from what we need to be doing. My partner and I both work alot and study courses so time is limited. He never did much round the house before but now that he can tick something off a list he puts the effort in and I don't feel the need to nag...my list does all the nagging for me.

Xbox! The bane of my life! I dread the idea that my children will grow up like my husband's little brother, fat, lazy and unfit! The stuff they do on that thing, shooting and stabbing people- especially the re-enactments of WW2, it just doesn't seem right to me.

Most men just seem to live in another world where washing does itself. And as for the dirty underwear on the floor- he uses the arguement that I do it as well. Errm, maybe on occasion, yes, but I PICK IT ALL UP-including yours! You never do!

Things are getting better at work, kinda broke down on him the other day. He is actually starting to pull his weight and do stuff around the flat.

This all sounds like my life. Doing studies, working two jobs and lazy, no job boyfriend playing on x-box most of everyday.

I started to think what am i doing, how can i leave? What was worse was when i met him he did everything, cooked meals, sent me nice texts, was romantic and thoughtful. Everything slowley changed over time.

Did eventually leave, have no money and still doing two jobs. Feeling lonely but not ready to date. Can't say i'm happy about being single but i'm relieved i'm not as angry and thinking about what to do about getting him to do more round the house.

X-box's are home reckers!

My ex partner used to leave his dirty underwear all over the bedroom floor. He just wouldnt put them in the wash basket so one day I put them into the pockets of all his work clothes, smelly socks and manky underpants. He found them at work infront of all his work mates. Problem sloved.

No no it was the dishes and dirty kitchen and bathroom which drove me mad! He can smell if he likes but ma not eating from a manky kitchen lol!!

I'm in the same situation. My boss keeps telling me to split up with my boyfriend and find someone better. Its a lot easier saying than it is doing! you obviously love your boyfriend...if you didnt you wouldnt put up with it. No matter what people say you are the only one that knows how you feel about him. Its now got to the stage where i have refused to do any housework as he is at home all day "job hunting." So far it seems to have worked...its just a shame that he thinks that housework is just doing the washing up! Things can only get better right?
