Got another question lol¬ !
Does anybody know if our RVN status is transferrable to the US equivalent of Vet. Technician?
Has anyone made the move to USA and worked as a 'nurse'?
any comments/knowledge appreciated :)x

Re: Uk to USA -vet tech.

You could contact the International Vet Nurse/Tech Associations member in the US as they should be able to let you know. I think I remember an article in the VNJ where they spoke to some American techs and mentioned qualification was dependant upon which state you worked in as well.

I know a girl on my degree course moved over there as soon as she graduated, had done work experience over there during hols as OH lived over there, but she said she was much more qualified than any of the other 'nurses' and had practices arguing over who got to employ her. I believe that was in Salt Lake city but may be wrong, she left a couple of years ago now as did foundation degree.

Re: Uk to USA -vet tech.

I'm pretty sure that the VN qualification isn't the same as the vet tech one.
