Tut people like that make me sick . . how can you do that to somebody - especially when the girl he was talkin to had nothing to do with him! Immature boys who can't handle their drink :/

For your furture knowledge (having been through an assault myself) - there is an H&S law dealing with violence in the workplace. Everyone is entitled to work in a safe environment free of violence or threats of violence. If nothing had been done, a call to the H&S office would launch an investigation which would have led to some nasty stuff being sent the bosses way.

Thanks for all your help peeps. :) I don't think this girl was quite aware how serious this was until the other night. Hopefully she will start thinkig about restraining orders.

I have some good news today though. The other half has spoken to the owner, who has taken the decision out of anyone elses hands. The little punk is no longer working there :) i'm so relieved, i think i may have even slept for half an hour last night!

if this guy did this to your partner coz he was talking to a girl he was STALKING, then that girl is a potential rape victim! if this scuz bag can kick ur guy in the face there is nothing to stop him forcing himself on a girl. (Not to take away anyhting from ur guys' horrendous ordeal and I hope he recovers soon)

Hi hon.. I've asked my husband for you.. he doesn't think there is any law to say he has to or doesn't have to work with him - unless it happened in work (?) .. the other thing he said was he can ask his boss to put him and this other guy on opposit shifts - so they dont have to see eachother. xx

Hi,

Sorry you both have had to go through this.

The boss has a duty of care towards all his employees. If you follow the advise above and check out the Acas web site follow their advise aswell.

If your man now feels (understandably) threatened by this employee and follows a grievence procedure the boss has to respond. If he does nothing then the case could possibley go to tribuneral.

Hope this helps I did alot of research into this area as I was constructivley dismissed from a job due to becoming insulin dependant.

He decided he didnt want to press charges, but he wanted this lad to have a good talking to from the rozzers, however kiddy has told this other bloke Dave started it, which is the most least likely thing that could happen ever! let alone not true. Khe kid is the KP, so in close proximilty of my fella, who doesnt feel threatened in the slightest, but doesn't think he should have to work with his attacker.

That would be amazing if you could, i'd really appreciate it, thank you :)

i'm ok, but exhausted, haven't slept since - hes sleeping like a baby, - git! x

OMG thats awful!! your poor man :( surely his work mates can see the damage this guy has caused? He could press charges against him if he wanted too! Not too sure about the laws regarding this, I can check for you though if you want me too?? .. my husband used to be head chef, and my father in-law used to be general manager of a chain of pubs / restaurants!

it was horrid. And you know what hes like - hes a lover not a fighter!! Despite looking like a skinhead thug!! Though that lad was lucky Dave's like that or i doubt he would have got up again..... actually hes lucky i didnt see him or id have run him over!
