I could have spent ££££££ at Crufts. Was my 1st year going. Cheered on the offspring of my bitch as well as a good few friends.

Tried to come home with an Italian Spinone in my pocket, didn't fit too well.

Hubby now convinced he wants a pharoah hound.

MMMMM house of staffords, P. hound and spinone........

crufts didnt look as busy this year, was watching on more 4 and the ring events noticed loads of free seats.. usually they are packed.

I've wanted a vizsla for about 6 months but seeing yogi has made me want one even more!!! i agree about loving gundogs i could have one of eachof retrievers and pointers! and of course the viszla :) The good thing about crufts not being on now is not having to watch marc abraham!

I love Crufts been every year for about 10 years until this year and last year due to work/money I love it. I end up spending a FORTUNE though

They mentioned the GSD who won best in breed earlier, he looked terrible with his low froggy backend and the presenter did mention she thought he looked bad....They had a geneticist from the AHT and a kennel club person on talking about how they're trying to improve breeding, and the KC person was saying judges aren't placing poor examples, obviously GSDs are excepted....grrr

The Pharaoh Hound who won best in group yesterday was beautiful though

I get comments about Jack..."he looks athletic". Yeah, he's not fat like a lot of staffies! He's now 21kg, but he's tall and all muscle! There certainly isn't any weight in his brain, a pea doesn't weight much

I did discover dogs today with the rottweilers for the 5th year......for the first time i went to see some of the showing and came away appalled at some of the awful examples! I go to help raise awareness of the breeds problems and try and convince as many people as i can about health issues and also the importance of not keeping them chained up in a back yard. I am always amazed at the number of people who see our dogs(all rescues) and say "aren't they small, my rottweiler is 10 stone" grrrr mine are lean and very fit, how they are supposed to be!!!!

I watch it mostly for agility and flyball :) i saw him say that thought and thought what the hell he has changed his tune!! I dont like how some of the breeds are so different for showing purposes i.e. sloping gsd, massive chunky labs and pugs that cant breathe!!
