Just wondering what advice you all give to clients re puppy socialisation when they're between their 1st & 2nd vaccs? Obviously they can't socialise with other dogs at this stage, but it's obviously an important time which can be utilised well

Re: Puppy socialisation

Socialisation does not mean taking the dog outside. There is plently you can get owners to do in the home with or without CDs. The most important thing is not to overwhelm the puppy as this will predispose it to develop anxiety related problems in later life and can be just as damaging as no socialisation. There is some lovely new research that has been published over the last few years around this issue. If your booked on the webinar on the 20th Sarah Heath will talk it all though.

Most pups at this age are easy enough to carry round still so not too awkward! Also the noise CDs can be good to start off in the meantime.
