I personally don't like the use of bristle brushes on skin as they can be abrasive and cause damage to skin cells. Bristles should only nails and use a sponge for hands and arms.

This is what i did for my portfolio

1. Turn on the tap to produce a gentle stream and adjust the temperature to a comfortable temperature.

2. Ensure that you keep forearms higher than your elbows at all times, wet down the hands and arms and apply plain soap.

3. Work the soap into lather and spread over the hands and arms and over the elbow by 5cm to remove all surface dirt and grease.

4. Clean the nails under the stream of water using a file or cuticle stick and discard into the skin once finished with.

5. Repeat step three using a surgical scrub.

6. Using a sterile brush, moisten under the stream of water, apply the surgical scrub solution.

7. Scrub the nails using a straight stroke, ensuring the bristles of the brush clean under the nails.

8. Start with the little finger, scrub each of the four planes of each finger in straight strokes, ensuring that you include the inter digital spaces.

9. Clean the palm of the hand and the back of the hand using circular motions.

10. Scrub up the arms and up above the elbow by 5cm, if needed add more water and surgical scrub.

11. Once you have finished one hand either discard the brush into the sink or rinse and add surgical scrub before transferring to the other hand.

12. Repeat the process for the second hand and forearm.

13. Maintaining your hands above the elbow and rinse both hands thoroughly and allow the water to drain into the sink.

14. Wash your hands and arms again using surgical scrub (this time do not include the elbows).

15. Rinse and dry with a sterile hand towel, ensuring that your hands are kept above the elbows with your palms facing towards your chest.

found this on youtube - its about 7 mins before they get to scrubbing in - will have to go to the 2nd vid too - its on the right or given as an option at the end of the first vid!

no sorry but would love to learn! from what i gather, hibi comtact time is 5 mins minimum - thats all i have! would love a video of correct scrubbing up technique though!

in fact - off to scour youtube!
