Hi, I use K-9 liquid glucosamine in my dogs food, its brilliant and also contains Aloe Vera which is a brilliant natural healer, even for arthritis as body extracts what it needs from the Aloe Vera. Worth a try :)

Hi Ava,

your aloe vera idea is quite interesting!

Would you add it orally to your dogs food? say for example, twice daily?

Have you tried her on weekly cartrophen injs (for 4wks)? It's mainly used for osteoarthritis in dogs, and also helps damaged joint cartilage to recover.. discuss it with your vet first though.. I was advised to use it in Jess (4yr old border terreir), as she would limp and be lame after resting - and the cartrophen helped 100%

Also, you could try giving her a massage over her elbows - be sure to do both of them though, not just the one thats giving her grief, because when she's lame on one, she favours the other, and that will only but more stress on that joint!

Hope that helps x

Re: advice on my dog's lameness please :)

my labrador is not normal though lol, everyone at work call her a snob!

Re: advice on my dog's lameness please :)

Maybe send those rads for a referral/second opinion?
