well how many of you know that microchips are radioactive and make your dog go bald

It makes you fumming.....and you try and explain it to clients and they'd rather believe whats in the paper then a veterinary professional thats been in the business for years and is fully trained-my poor boss-bless her...

We've lost 4 cat owners this week to no vaccinations and a dog owner....I quote 'I refuse to have my dog/cat vaccinated...he can survive without it'

This just reminded me, we had a client complain that her dog went lame 3 days after having its nails clipped by an SVN (scandalous they should be allowed to do that apparently!)

thing is this has happened with MMR - many parents didnt get their kids vaccd - result more cases of mumps measles and rubella, more chance of serious side effects. Who deals with the aftermath when things go badly wrong post infection - the NHS - but they dont publicise that bit

Have just read this article which got my back up... then the comments which made my blood boil!

Its one thing for people to be ignorant of getting their pets vaccinated, its completely differen to be arguing in favour of not vaccinating! To the ridiculous people who think their animals have developd 'canine autism', why ot tae it to the vet or a behaviour specialist to find out why a behavior has suddenly changed/developed?! A lot of thetime behavioural change is down to pain or illness, but these idiots would rather anthropomorphise the pets and get a quick fix by labeling it with a human condition!

Apologies for the rant
