when my dog had to have an mri for a head tilt all i could think was that she had a brain tumour.

i don't often recommend starving for 24hrs any more as I have seen better results with just switching to a bland diet. The new(ish) thinking i was told is that diarrhoea is generally caused by overgrowth of the nasty bacteria or undergrowth of the good bacteria in the gut. Probiotic and a a bland diet will flush out the bad and stimulate the good while not giving the guts too much work to do. If you starve the gut then it goes a bit hyper when food is re-introduced and the D+ will last longer as they calm down again.

Re: Does anyone else have this problem??

Oh I am shocking, esp cause my dog is an eater...eats anthing nice and putrid out on a walk...oh course I am paranoid to the point that I always assume its poison, calculating how long I have to get him to a vets, mentally going thru all the poisons and how long they act, symptoms etc....terrible!

Re: Does anyone else have this problem??

I'm a bit of a paranoid panicking owner. The worst time for this was when Daisy pig had a nose bleed...i ended up phoning VetsNow at something like 11pm cos i was panicking (thanks Sam ), felt rather silly lol!!! Took her to work the next day...nothing at all wrong with her!

Re: Does anyone else have this problem??

[quote user="*Steph *"]
