Took today off and have slept for another 13 hours have woken up still feeling poo. Sorry to all those I've given my internet bug to!

Fi, if you slept for 9 hours, you definitely needed it Have another hug. I got about 4 hrs sleep lastnight as my little boy was in bed with me feeling ill in between getting him a drink, another teddy bear and him tossing and turing all night I am totally exhausted. Why am I still here when I could be in bed? Erm, blame Arlo for a fab site!!

Pulled myself into work but no voice, I think I'll have to go to doctor because I've got psoriasis which will flare up with strep throat infection and I've only just got that back under control.

Drugs & lemsip did help me sleep but I think that was the amount I took rather than the actual drugs!

I'm surprised that your doctors are like that!! They certainly aren't like that here. They even advertise on radio and TV about sore throats that persist for more than 2 days should be checked! That is a throat swab be taken before AB's are prescribed! So how's your throat now? I hope you're not feeling as miserable.

The Difflam is either sprayed at the sore bit of your throat or gargle with it....it's great

Think you will find that dr's are not interested at the moment all the info coming out is keep away take general medication and do not bug us unless confirmed dead by autopsy. And if they do see you they are telling you to bug off and not giving sweeties (antiB) for throats or anything short of death.

Make sure you see your doc as sore throats can end up being serious. Taking Panadol 4 hourly should help keep the pain level low as well as reducing any fever. You poor thing, sore throats are the pits!!

lemsip cold and flu max capsules are amazing! the last cold i had i was laid up on the settee, and they stopped it in its tracks within a few hours!

failing that of course, a hot toddy, a duvet day and a damn good book seems to do the trick too!

Buy Difflam, either spray or rinse, it's brilliant, but quite expensive

I think I've found a cure - 2 ibrupropen, 2 decongestant capsules, 1 hot lemsip with honey, 1 bed with electric blanket and a chocolate orange! If it doesn't work then at least I will have enjoyed it! And with technology I cam check out this website in bed from my blackberry! Woo (sniff) hoo
