Try a perfomance diet and also eggs and a little blob of cottage cheese is excellent. (Eggs 98% digestible protein)

From experience once the animal has settled down in the new environment they tend to put on weight naturally so don't be too bothered about trying to put on weight at the moment (it's a bugger to get off again a year down the line!)

hills performance food is ideal for a dog like this- good for working dogs but also for fussy eaters or nervous dogs which never put weight on. (think it only comes in 15kg bags but there is the 100% money back if he wont eat it!)
