We already do that Gill but as one of the longest serving members on here (l joined within a couple of months of it being set up back in the dark ages) l would like to somehow thank his nibs a bit more and l know a lot of others would.

I am busy till sunday. I am staying with Sal1 to help her out with her Dads house and general support then work for 3 days but from monday l will start to contact members by conversation. I am around if anyone wants to grab me before or has any idea or questions and do not forget the titles are visible to other members so keep it innocent!

If all the nurses on this site got all the vets at their practice hooked on vetsurgeon.org I'd bet that would be the best present you could give - and certainly worth a lot of £££££s to him!!

Inevitably, I will read a post titled 'Arlo don't read this post'!!

I'll repeat what I said to SaskiaVN in a PM - I feel like a bit of a fraud really. I mean, all well and good if I was doing this for some completely altruistic reason, but I'm not! I'm doing this because I hope to become the next dotcom trazillionaire!

I'm genuinely really pleased that I'm making some money in a way that seems to perform a little social good. Does that sound a bit up my own derriere? I just mean I think the site has helped a few people over the years, and I'm actually quite proud of that.

But the bottom line is that I'm in it for the money, so no thanks are necessary. It's reward enough for me that most people seem to like the new site, and that it continues to be a place where you can come and get support / advice etc.

Having said that, I do put in a lot of long days, and it's lovely (can't think of a better word) to read such a nice post, and to be appreciated!

As I say, no other thanks necessary. If anyone really wants to help, probably the thing that would be most appreciated is to tell more vets about my other site: www.vetsurgeon.org. More than that, to show vets just how valuable a tool social networking websites like these can be in terms of sharing knowledge, getting support etc.

Lastly, cliched though it will sound, sites like these are nothing without their members. So I'd like to thank YOU, all of you, for making this site what it is!

(Does this read a bit like one of those speeches Kate Winslet would make after winning a Golden Globe?)
