 I have an aprox 2.5 year old cat who has started randomly hissing at his tail and growling at it. It started about 3 or 4 days ago. It&amp;#39;s still a bit ongoing although he seems a bit better. Vet thinks poss damage to tail tip and anal glands also a prob...on metacam and abs and if no improvement then xray etc next few days &lt;/p&gt;

I found that the shot of dex always seemed to help too after they&amp;#39;d been emptied as the act of emptying them can irritate in itself as they&amp;#39;re quite sensitive around there. Unless she&amp;#39;s really really stressed in the meantime, I&amp;#39;d see whether it settles down over another day or so perhaps. He has been checked by a vet yesterday and is going to be rechecked today..I am still not 100% sure he hasn&amp;#39;t injured his tail on and it isn&amp;#39;t noticeable to the naked eye. With him being an indoor cat at least nobody has put an elastic band round his tail - have seen this happen as well. hope he settles down soon .&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div style="clear:both;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description></item></channel></rss>
