Ive got AVG free and was a massive fan until last week when my computer got a horrible virus which shut down every program on there and rendered the computer unusable!! Not fun.

Luckily my lovely fella was able to get rid of the virus but now im not such a huge fan of AVG, think im going to have to find a new anti virus software

Yeah i'd still do some sort of work...but would be something along the lines of setting something up myself!

I do lotto and dream number every saturday...i figure, what's £2 a week when there is that chance?! I don't know what i'd do if i won next week! Would still finish my VN training. But then???

Microsoft Security Essentials is damn fine, free.

There's also Panda Cloud Anti-virus. You have to be connected to the internet for it to work. It's also free and has a large and ever increasing database of stuff to stop. It's very good if your computer is clean and you don't want anything to get onto it, including malicious software and spyware.

Other than that, just keep your comptuer and programs up to date at all times. I suggest File Hippo Update Checker You download one extremely small file, it runs and within seconds you get a list of programs that need updating.

have been using AVG for years - have known it to pick up viruses missed by Norton (even with the latest update) and is far superior to the one that comes with virgin media (pcgaurd)

I use AVG as well.... for the small amt I know about compooters, it seems to work well..... it has picked up a couple of viruses on occassions

AVG Free. It does the job for me. Even my boyfriend endorses it and he's a HUGE computer geek
