I GOT IT :D YES!!!

It went really well yesterday, I got on so well with one of the nurses and I think she must have passed some good words on for me, which is great.

Oh i'm so excited!

Thanks everyone, black trousers have now been purchased! Still figuring out what top to wear, but will have a look around h&m tomorrow.

I would also say something like black/grey trousers and smart top, jumper but nothing too 'fashiony' and nothing you wouldn't want to get dirty/hairy. Also no dangly jewellery. Saying that I wore jeans to all interviews where I have gotten the job! I wouldn't wear a lot of make up either as you don't wanna look like you'd be too scared to get messy

You could always give them a ring and ask them what they would prefer you to wear, just to be sure.............

let me know what they say - I was probably going to wear black flatties but the website did say you could wear trainers - I have a form for uniform to fill in but can't as I have no idea on colour/style etc, except the website indicating it's scrubs but that isn't an option on the form.

Couple of ideas for your work trial - ask questions about things you are shown, and if standing around for any length of time, do offer to help or ask what needs doing next......I had a work trial last week and they commented on how helpful I was and how I wanted to get involved. Hope it goes well for you, it didn't work for me but only because the expected maternity cover got changed as the girl decided long before she left on leave, to not return!

i think black trainers are fine, i wear black trainers for work in the winter ( crocs in the summer!) but white trainers are too casual (ditto jeans!!!!)

I dont agree with the no trainers bit, if they are black they should be fine.., after all it is a well known fact that trainers are the best thing for your feet if you are on them all day, and also while performing moving and handling procedures (not that you will get thrown in at the deep end) but trainers have been proven to be the best form of footwear to wear while performing this! go into human hospitals and you will see the majority of the nurses wearing trainers, or trainer type footwear.

I wear trainers to work black of course

i remember i wore a blk jumper and trousers, i was up against a qualified nurse too, just down to me and her, they said they gave me the job, cos i hov vered by the kennels and asked non stop questions!!!!!!

Something comfortable but smart and practical. Jeans are a no no, maybe black trousers and a plain top. You may be given a lab coat or scrubs to wear.

Comfortable shoes

and make sure what you wear isn't your best gear, it's likely to get hairy

I would suggest practical but smart, no jeans or trainers. Maybe black trousers and a shirt. oh and COMFORTABLE shoes!!!!

you may well be given scrubs etc to wear too.

Make sure no jewellery that could be dangerous eg dangly earrings and I would keep jewellery to a minimum
