She used to pace up and down and whine constantly. We put her on vivitonin first and it helped a bit, but then my vet suggested trying selgian as well and she's been a different dog. She still paces a bit and whines occasionally but compared to how she used to be the difference is amazing. She doesn't seem as disorientated or confused as she used to, now when she does pace its more like she just wants to go for a little wander rather than the frantic pacing she used to do. I'd definitely recommend giving it a go, it may not work for your dog but its worth a shot! Good luck!

Re: dementia in dogs

My old dog was on Selgian briefly, but then changed over onto Activait which for him worked better. Selgian didn't really do much (he was also on Vivitonin), but have heard some good things from clients about how much improved their dogs were.
