I 100% agree with that.

I hope your other animals are sorted soon. Pets, they are such a big worry aren't they! Why do we put ourselves through it?!

Well, I think I am going to wait a while. Had a look on the rescue sites at the weekend and nothing caught my eye so I think thats a sign that I'm not ready yet. Still having a few teary moments and still find myself looking for her in the garden. Also have enough to worry about at the moment with my cat, and my rescue pony is having an ovary scan on Friday due to a possible granulosa cell tumour :( I am kind of hoping they do find something in order to explain the aggression otherwise don't know what I'm going to do.

Anyway will keep you posted on all aspects, thanks for your support. I'm sure a new bunny will find its way to me when the time is right.

I lost my bunny 7th January :( absolutely broke my heart he was 10! Had him since 9 weeks old. was the hardest decision i've ever had to make and still miss him loads.

I agree with Jo re getting another bun. I got another pig straight away when Poppy died because i was concerned about Daisy being lonely.

That's all you can do for them, provide them with the best home possible. At least you can honestly say she had a great home, which as you say, many never know.

As for getting another one, everybody's different. Sometimes it's easier if you get another one quickly, sometimes it makes it harder, I think only you know what's best for you and you'll know when the time is right to get another one and when the right one for you comes along..

I'm feeling a lot better today, but now my cat has been diagnosed with poss early renal issues. It never rains but it pours!!

Am just considering what to do with regard to rabbit. I alwasy have rescues and was going to start looking but OH thinks I should wait a while but I just think there are so many bunnys out there who need a loving home. Will give it a few days and see how I feel then.

Thanks fr all your support. All my little ones are so precious - but I think my rabbit was special as we have been through so much with her health and temperament wise - I think we bond with the grumpy ones more sometimes!! At least she had a fab 5 years with me, with a huge area to live in and being thoroughtly spoilt which many bunnies never know.

aww sorry to hear that. Dont feel silly either, we've all lost pets at some point, we understand. I lost my giant in november last year and we still have this huge hutch in the garden and i feel sad sometimes, but chin up, were here to talk too if you need us.

Please don't feel a fool Nicky for being upset. I lost my 5 year old guinea pig before christmas and got sent home after cos i was so upset. People won't think you're silly, they'll understand. Like others have said, 8 years is good for a bun.

aw Nicky I am so sorry to hear that

8 is a brilliant age for a rabbit. And, you know, there was nothing you could have done to save her, so you can at least console yourself with that fact, plus, it wasnt something that lingered on and on - it was very sudden.

I lost my own dog, Sammy in May last year to a liver tumour the size of a large melon - she showed no signs either, other than the evening she collapsed and had been well before hand.

Thinking of you, and as you say, no matter how many you lose, it never gets any easier xxx

Aww I'm so sorry, I lost my bunny last month at the amazing age of 12 and even though I knew it was coming due to his age it didn't make it any easier.
