Do you not find that they read slightly low??? I got about 5 and they're all sitting in a drawer cos I don't trust them

I left my lovely brand new digital thermometer that I got as a freebie at BVNA in my scrub top pocket - went on a 50c cycle & now it's completely broken

I'm always leaving pens in my pockets. Left a YELLOW highlighter in my uniform, followed by the bedding. The highlighter was left in the washing machine and we ended up with yellow highlighted bedding!!! I was in the dog house! Oops

I once washed a Fiver after not checking the pockets - money laundering

But my real bug bear is paper hankies, they fall to pieces and have little bits all over the washing.

iv found the only way to get around this is to have a little pot so when i get changed all my pens badges and watch are in the pot together ready for tomorrow and not in the wash, well thats the theory anyway

I know Carolyn, hehe, but it is of sentimental value to me. Our local Merial Territory Manager gave it to me when I qualified back in 2001. So thats why I had to get it repaired!

my fob watch has dried out and doesnt seem to have been affected although its gone back an hour!

My fob watch has been through the wash more than once and still worked after! When i took it to the jewelers to get a new battery they said "there are some scratches on the glass". My reply was "yep, that's from dog teeth". They looked at me like i was very odd!!!

Charlotte, I cant believe your fob watch came out the other side and still worked! I had to leave mine to the jewellers to be repaired!

Mine went through countless times too.

One tip....don't put your MP3 player in the wash....doesn't come out well!

my fob watch and badge always go through the wash and i dont seem to have any problems! I do intend to take it off but i always forget!!!

lol! i go on and on about husband not emptying his pockets b4 dumping clothes in washing basket. but im as bad with my work gear. must just be desparate to get out of it and back into my civvies!

Heather you dozy mare.....take e thing off the uniform in your room and put it in a drawer or something, then take the uniform to the washing basket I have done this a few times too, even with my regime of undressing, but it does lessen the incidents.

How are you anyway?? tell pauline I am asking for her, and prob wont see her at the AC/dc concert but al think of her when am there.
