I'm posting on behalf of a rescue I foster for, Northern Rose Boxer Rescue. A couple of months ago a boxer cross called Tillie was brought into the rescue. After a few days in foster it became apparent

Re: Puppy needs our help

I have only just seen this thread, RIP little Lola x

Re: Puppy needs our help

i saw lola before she went to liverpool, she was very sweet. i am sorry for the outcome but glad that she was given the chance.

Hi All

we had Lola in today at my place for imaging to assess the sort of PSS she had, unfortunately it was an intra-hepatic shunt which doesn't give a good prognosis even if operated on and carries more risk not to mention extra expense. the rescue took the decision based on our findings to sadly put lola to sleep.

I was with her when we put her to sleep and it was while she was still sedated from the imaging so it was very peaceful.

RIP Lola and good luck to the rescue with Tillie and the rest of the puppies!!

[/quote]

I was just going to come on and put this on here. Gail and David (the couple who run the rescue) are obviously devastated for Lola. They were very impressed with you guys at Liverpool

"It has to be said here - ALL the staff we saw at the hospital were absolutely brilliant!"

and have passed on their thanks to everybody who has donated and offered to help/suggested options. Even though Lola did not have the op, obviously there have still been some bills to cover from her work up and everyone's donations have been a massive help.

Thanks again everyone, it's just a shame that things didn't turn out as we hoped
