aw i love stories like that!! Micro chips are super important! Mine are indoor but chipped you just don't know!!

I read a story a few months back about a cat who live a mile away from it owners was known locally and stuff and it was only when it had a sore eye and taken to the cets that it was scanned!!! The cat had been missing 9 years!!!!How awesome!!

I think with a chip and a mising cat, theres always hope!

That's brilliant! So pleased for everyone involved.

I lost a cat a couple of months after a move over two years ago, she's microchipped but hasn't re-appeared. She's a friendly soul and quite outgoing so after a lot of sleepless nights I have more or less convinced myself she has likely found a replacement home and moved in.

Props to all the nice cat people out there who look after the wanderers.

bit of an update - had a phone call yesterday - has had the wire removed, is doing very well and sounds like he is spoilt rotten

what a fab story! microchips are ace!!!

plus it means there is a slim glimmer of hope for my chipped kitty who got out when i moved house 5 years ago and hasn't been seen since :(

sounds like he is doing very well at the mo - no problems reported ( and they have rung me up every single day) apart from they are having problems keeping him in which isnt so good.

That is such a lovely story I re-united a cat with it's owners a while back, cat had been missing a long time, can't remember how long. I wanted to cry i was so pleased for them!

the press are already aware - next door neighbour at the house he lived in before the move notified them

Sal, as an afterthought have you thought of contacting the local newspapers? It would be a great story to outline the importance of microchipping

'Clever VN reunites 'stray' cat with his owners after almost 5 years............(The Boy's are glad hes gone...!) & Who says microchipping doesnt work?..................to be continued lol!!

yes luckily they had thought to change address at the same time they had registered with a new vet . They had done absolutely everything right and they so deserved to get him back

They have rung to tell me he has eaten this evening and is now curled up on their bed

jasper all on his own 91% Morris 89% ( still have a little control over Morris via food) - but I reckon it could have been a bit higher whilst we had our guest. B the vet thinks they are both physcopaths and well deserving of their nickname 'the Krays' or the 'the Boys'
