Hahaha!! Love it!

I got mine from an italian designer, off ebay. Was beautiful.....sadly the wedding never got past planning and the monster-in-law refused to give me the dress from her wardrobe. Not that she could ever have fitting in it! She wanted the engagement ring my ex said I could keep. Dress = £40, Ring is worth more and was a gift to me. Never saw the dress again.....

Hi, have a look at you and your wedding website forums - lots of people bought from varios china sellers - most very happy, but they will give you an idea of the best ones.

I have bought my wdding dress via ebay from an american seller as I could not find what I wanted over here and dressmaker wanted £1500 to make, got it for £300 including shipping and it is amazing.

Make sure you have someone trustworthy to measure you.

try looking in oxfam, some of their stores have wedding departments and the sell ex-catwalk dresses that have been donated. really is worth a look, you're talking about £100-£250 for a dress that would cost a grand in the shops, and at least you know you're getting the real deal!

Not sure where you are in Britain, but I know in Glasgow there is a charity shop which stocks only wedding dresses. SOme obviously have been worn but others are brand new. It might be worthwhile looking at charity shops.

It would also be worth going to the birdal shops as i got my dress reasonably priced as it used to be a sample that they used in shop. Worth a try as you might find a bargain there?

I got a full length ballgown, for a black tie event, from eBay it cost me £50 and is amazing. However, the time it took to come scared me quite a lot as it arrived on the day of the ball & I would have been going in jeans otherwise!!!

My sister-in-law got her dresses online from somewhere similar to this. She loved her dress and the bridesmaid's too, and weren't massively expensive either. The only problem she encountered was they had an agreement that any alterations to the dresses had to be done through their chain in this country once shipped. Despite giving the correct measurements they delivered the bridesmaid dresses about a foot longer than she had told them but still had to pay (at quite a rip-off price) to have them altered. I still think she saved quite a few spondoolies despite this, mind!

I bought 3 long chinese dresses a few years ago and was really pleased with them, one needed a little re-stitching after i had only worn it once but considering i paid less than i would have done for the same thing over here i wasn't too bothered

I would check out the feedback of the seller you are interested in. There is always a risk that you will get something dodgy, but that happens in this country too.
