On the topic of spaying pre & post season research has shown that Collie's are less likely to get urinary incontinence ( being one of the breed's more pre-disposed to this post-spay) if they are spayed after the first season. Hence why I spayed my collie after the first one. Discretion can be used in deciding when and when not to do it as there are pros and cons both sides, my argument would be that if you have a careful responsible owner who wants to do after 1st season then fine..if you are dealing with someone who will let their collie get pregnant then do it before

Sennen has a new mummy!

will hopefully go to new home next week, she will go to agility and maybe even have sheep dog training if she likes the idea!

I'm not sure why she is being so hard to find on FB, she comes up as the 1st person when I search under just seen, but is that cos I have mutual friends so its easier? Damn FB!

Some perfect homes have enquired but no one will commit!

She'd slot into any collie savvy home easily, you hardly know she's there! She's not a manic type more the squirm at your feet and pat me type, plays nicely with our dog friendly cat and ignores the others. Had fun at agility last night, is clicker trained and loves it!

She is gorgeous, I have been purposely avoiding this thread because I know what im like.....but after seeing the pictures!

I would love to have her but I dont think I can, my collie takes up all my time as she came from an unsuitable home too and needs alot of training...we are getting there though!

Sorry not much help but im sure she will go to a fab home that understand Collies. but i will keep an eye on this thread.....just incase!

She is very pretty, looks a real sweetie. I really wish I could have her my boy would love her but practically I don't think its possible. Keep us posted on the situation as you never know my circumstances might change.

Can you post some pictures please so we can see her. I would love to have a friend for my collie x boy but don't think the other half would be up for it. I'm going through training with my boy and think it may be a bit difficult traing two at different levels.

Would love to see some pics tho, pictures always help people to fall in love with the pup.

Please!?!

Does no one know of some one who could be persuaded to have another dog- she's very calm in the house, is fab with cats, she's just the easiest pup ever!

Although she's v squirmy and submissive, she's not fearful in anyway.

Took her to puppy classes yesterday and she has awesome focus- a real bright spark.

I deal if u want to start from scratch training wise but do not want to have a tiny baby as she's fine to leave for a couple of hours (crate trained) and is toilet trained etc.

We would keep her but live in a 2nd floor flat with 2 dogs and 4 cats already!

I did think of it but I thought a potential new mum or dad might want to see for themselves how she interacts with others and how good she is off lead etc as post op she will have no exercise. Am really torn as could do her cost price ish at work but don'r want pp. to be put off seeing what she can do.

Completed understand your view but some collie savvy folk may have read this as I did. Would it not be possible to ger her neutered before she goes then thats one less expense for her new owners?? I'm sure you would be able to qualify for help towards payment or maybe your lovely boss would do it at cost price??
