 When you have a crash box with drugs drawn up ready how long do you keep them for before throwing them away?

&lt;p&gt;probably doesn&amp;#39;t help, i guess we did more off site!! &lt;/p&gt;

(rotated every 2 weeks with a fresh bottle if not used.) cat endo tube, 6mm endo tube and 10mm endo tube urinary cath with endo tube connector&amp;nbsp; 1 cat cath (so could be used as endo tube if needed , ambubag. 10 x2ml syringes 5x5ml syringes 5x 10ml syringes 4 x 20mlsyringes, selection of needles ( including some 21g X2 inch)4 of each size iv cannulas and 1 of each size butterfly sets. Fluids = 500ml saline, 500ml hartmanns, 500ml gelafusine, 2 giving sets.&amp;nbsp; Tourniquet or broad elastic band and artery forceps 50mls bottle of surgical spirit , chlohex gel, stethoscope,&amp;nbsp;pair of scissors, roll of tape for i/vs 1&amp;nbsp; fenestrated drape, packof&amp;nbsp;10 sterile&amp;nbsp; swabs, small amount of cotton wool 1 vetwrap couple of wow bandgages ,&amp;nbsp;1 very basic stitch kit with 2 wraps of 2/0 vicryl,&amp;nbsp; stapler,1 foil emergency blanket 1 plastic bowl.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Hi Vicky...We&amp;#39;ve recently enlarged our emergency box from a cadburys biscuit tin to a proper DIY box that opens up!.......&amp;nbsp;we don&amp;#39;t keep any drugs drawn up in syrines.... just various different sized needles and syringes attached with very clear info on dose rates for different sizes of animal.&lt;/p&gt;

The only thing we have pre-drawn up is hep saline! This is changed once a week! the way we have it is that we have some foam with bits cut out and then have the vials out of the boxes ready for use, ie so they can be grabed in a rush! We have enough of each drug for a 50kg dog ready!
