Do you know where you attach your washing machine to the internal pipework it will onoly be a couple of feet from the washing machine but may be hidden behind it.

Pull it out, turn the taps off and take the washing machine pipes off. Then carefully turn on the taps till water comes through keep doing that and checking you will know when the pipes have unfrozen.

You could also check to see if the pipes go out side the house and see about hot water on them. You may be lucky that the pipes expanded the water into the washing machine rubber pipes and they took the expansion and so the main ones didnt split.

I thought my washing machine was gone too yesterday with the cold, was making alot of sick noises, but after 2 washes it seems to be ok, maybe the hot water running thru it helped it on its way, I couldnt cope if I didnt have the washing machine, so I feel your pain, alot of ppl dont have water due to freezing water pipes, now that would do my nut in, not having running water!

I have coped ok with the coldness till today- Im sure this is the coldest its been.

The glass door thingy is frosted up and theres not a heater where the machine is! Argh!

Dear then you need to warm up the house! Definitely ring your home insurance company and speak to them. might be the entry water pipe that has frozen?

oh dear! what ever you do don't turn it on!! wait til it defrosts so you don't risk breaking it, i doubt that freezing is covered under the insurance or warranty! lol

do you have it outside?? or is it in the house? it might be covered under your home contents insurance. might be worth ringing them.
