As a minimum you could include H+S at Work Act and COSHH (for use of disinfectants etc). Have a look though in the nursing books, especially the Victoria Aspinall textbook as there is a lot of health and safety information in there.

Do you have access to any of the good general nursing texts? Theres usually a good overview of the legal aspects in them.. the main one would prob be health and safety at work act 1974 but there has been further legislation passed since. Should be able to find something on the internet otherwise.. good luck

I am doing the ANA course, and had written that protective clothing should be worn, materials disposed of properly etc. But my tutor says that i need to put down the health and safety acts! I have no idea where to find them, i had a look on the HSE website but couldnt find anything. The question on the case log is, what health and safety considerations should be taken with this species (rabbit).

http://www.hse.gov.uk/ this is the standard H+S site with various bits of info, but you can also reference any textbooks (Complete Textbook of Veterinary Nursing has info on the different health and safety acts). For exotics though remember to emphasise the prevention of zoonoses.

What sort of thing do you need? You could talk about zoonotic diseases passed onto you from exotics?
