We have a memorial album where people can put photos or poems etc, we also have a wide range of books available for people to borrow my favourite is absent friend by laura and martyn lee although it is difficult to get hold of now, another good one for children is missing my pet (available through nvs) which has a lovely book for the child to read and draw pictures and things in and then an adults section which details how the parents can help their child through this difficult time. We have photo albums and in the sympathy cards we send we always put a little note in about adding to our book of rememberance and also a little info on coping with bearevment.

Our clients really appreciate it have heard many of them say that it really helped them writing a piece to go with the picture. we also have lots of letters in there from children I think its a really good coping tool for them too.

It always guarenteed to make me cry I do occasionally read the new ones but I always make sure Im on my own as it turns me into a blubbering wreck but it is so lovely to see the picures and the lovely words the owners have written

The Hans Wilhelm books is beautiful, I agree.

Cat Heaven

Dog Heaven..... both written by Cynthia Rylant.

Great illustrations. Simple and understated but good for kids..

I know its not actually what you are talking about but thought I would mention anyway. This is a fabulous book that should be read by all young kids coping with the loss of a family pet.

We have two beautiful photograph albums. Clients bring photos of their pets in and we ask if they would like to write a few words etc. We then type them up and put them in. We also make it look nice as we have decoupage butterflies and flowers. We have a great response with them.
