I got into nursing as a way out of things... I did the degree route and although its hard work and don't have any regrets, just now wish i could find a practice to settle into.

I think I would end up doing some vet nursing again but on the proviso I could come back in the late 1940's with some of the knowledge I have now and meet some of my therapy heroes before they died - and maybe even give Sigmund Freud some therapy before he managed to bugger up so many people!

If i could back i wouldn;t have gone to uni and started the vet nursing degree course, cos now i have left am doign a degree i hate even more and am the point where i need 2 decide if i want to be a vet nurse.

I have done alot of thinking over past few weeks and have decided not to go ahead and be a vet nurse and will try and get myself into teaching biology or re! Makes me sad, I loved my time training but the effort to become a vet nurse and the rewards don't make it worth it! But heyho!

IF only time machines were real!

well not taste of marulas much to be honest but it is nice, sweet, creamy but then probably find that most things do not tase like what they say made of if that makes sense.

But as there is a taste of africa in there hell you get the taste of sun and bushveldt and for me memories of digging marula string out of my teeth, biting through the skin, spitting out worms that were partaking of my marula fruit!! climbing up to try and get the fresher fruit, watching and waiting for them to turn ripe enough to eat.. just a lot of memories

I often think "what if" in regards to having Hannah, cos it was definitely her that turned my life around....possibily wouldn't be here if I didn't get pregnant!!

true, If I could go back to a pre -high school me I would def tell me to work harder and do several things slightly differently!

I would
A) have started to look for a TP at a much younger age, as the profession is definitely ageist for training
B) have made sure the place I got wasn't going to quickly struggle for money and make three of us redundant
C) probably have bought a practice so I could get a TP place easy
D) got on the RCVS committee and changed to rules to help people like me to get places - there's a topic for another new thread on the latest rules for next September...
E) I would then have talked myself out of my dream to become a VN instead of suffering 3 1/2 years of heartbreak and poverty even trying to get my foot in the door to train
