Hi glad to see other vn beaders out there. It is a very addictive hobby, I have progressed from jewellery to making beaded animals!! Photos to follow if I can upload.

I have used southampton bead shop, hobby craft and various others from classified section of beading magazines.

Have also been to a fantastic bead shop in Guildford. Loads of bead companies on internet, one I have used a few times is stitchcraft.co.uk (i think).

Hmmm i just remembered someone on here had a website selling stuff made from beads...i had saved the website link to my favs and forgot about it. Just went to have a look and site doesn't seem to exist anymore. The site is www.craftyclare.co.uk, who was it that had that site? If you see this craftyclare, do you have a different site or do you not sell them anymore? Just being nosey, and fancied a browse!

Those earrings look really fiddly! Unfortunately i can only wear gold/white gold earrings Silver makes my ears sore. I do wear silver sometimes, but not for long and can't wait to take them out.

I love the Purple necklace and the bracelet to go with it!

I was looking into this a while ago - although i haven't done it yet - but there's loads of online stores for it on ebay. most of it can be bought instantly and some stuff looks really good. good luck. it's be good to see what you make. xx

Bless you! Have put up all my stuff so far on Facebook - my sister wanted to see them!

I don't know enough about making a website, but I may consider ebay! Thank you for the idea! Might see how I get on first, everything is really different at the moment while I figure out what I can actually make! Just done some rose quartz earrings, pretty but a devil to get together!

ebay is a good place to start, you could just sell a few bits then see how you go with it.... I sell a few bits on ebay usually sell quite well especially if I state that they are hand made.

As for expense, I think it depends. You can make it as cheap or as expensive as you want! I have spent a fair bit on getting set up, but then packs of beads and fixings can be very cheap if you have a set idea you want to try.

I am going to try to add a picture of my little set I made yesterday, let me know what you think! My mum and fiance want me to try and sell some bits through school fairs and such, I don't know if I am getting above my skill level!!

I have made this one before - is on the madcow website - but I got it from somewhere else. Needs a bit of patience but looked good when finished (I didnt do it quite the same - wasnt keen on the length of the drop section)

Me too, I can spend hours just looking at them! Almost died of joy surrounded by beads in HobbyCraft earlier

Took a couple of pictures of bits I made yesterday, will post them up when I get the chance. Off to browse all these sites!

My friend started off as a hobby, when she hurt her shoulder and was off work for a couple of months. now she's selling it on eBay and makes a pretty tidy living off it! She's only just gone back to work and it helped pay her way through college again!
