My sister had a similar experience, she was driving down the dual carriageway, when a foreign lorry started coming towards her!!! He started flashing her, luckily the car behind saw what was happening and allowed her into his lane!! the lorry driver beeped at her!!!! She was in so much shock had to pull over and ring Mum. If the guy behind hadnt let her in, could of been a completely different story!!

We still cant understand how he managed to get on the wrong side as a crash barrier divides the roads for miles!!!

We had a few flakes of snow it is mainly a white frost around here though. hate the cold.

Paula, it sounds like you have had alot of snow- heard the power went off at the inlaws earlier today. Glad your hubby got out of the way of the stupid idiot driver. Some folk are numpties.

My hubby was just dropping my son off in town, via the dual carriage way that is covered in snow, when a car was doing about 70 miles per hour coming straight towards him on the wrong side of the carriage way!!! hubby had to drive up onto the verge to get out of the road, my god it could have been a total catastrophe, feckin idiot

ARGH ffs...dad has just brought me into work (i don't have a car cos it needs a new wheel bearing and they can't fit it in until monday)...we're in left hand lane, big van in middle just pulls over almost into our side!!! It was SO close, dad slammed breaks on and managed to not hit it...don't know how! Beeped our horn and flashed lights...and they got arsey with us!!! They hadn't even indicated IDIOTS!!! They weren't even indicating until they pulled over!

Sorry, just to add I've kind of had similar experiences this year (bf trouble, moved house, nan died, cat died, work poo, more bf trouble), I know some of the other nurses I work with have had a rough year too what with relationship probs and ill health etc. Lets hope 2010 brings up better things

oh my god, bloody hell that must have been really scary

I remember walking home through Deansgate (Manchester) last new year at 3am in the morning and we had to walk past a horrific RTA. One car was wrapped around a lampost and the other car was on its roof.

Hi... sounds like you were incredibly lucky.....for all the negative things reported in the news, there are never enough stories reported about people helping out when needed, which most would always do, regardless of the situation....... it is always good to take a step back and be able to realise how lucky you are to have what you have, and appreciate everything, but next time perhaps you could do something less drastic...?

Snap! I love my Fiesta. She's a silver 55 reg ghia, so nice to drive. She's poorly at the mo though, can't driver her. Got a dodgy wheel bearing so booked into be fixed on monday. Wonder how much that will cost me!

Sounds like a scary experience, glad you're ok though.

I had a nasty accident in my car last year, it didn't really hit me till afterwards how lucky i was to have walked away with just a sore finger and a bit of whip lash. Every now and again i just think to myself "i could have died in that accident"...but i didn't, and i'm so very grateful for that. Like you said, it helps to put things into perspective. When i was driving in the horrible ice last week i drove past a 8 car accident on the other side of the duel carriageway. Seeing the cars all bashed up and facing all different directions very nearly brought me to tears and made me feel sick...brought back the memory of my accident, not something i like to remember.

Glad your ok, that sounds horrific, i wrote my lovely KA off 4 yrs ago, flew it over a hedge and rolled it three times and walked out of it with no injuries, i think KA's are actually designed to fly!!

I think there are some good people out there i would def stop and offer assistance if i saw an accident if its only to ensure someone has called for help.

What car u getting nxt? i got a new fiesta a yr ago and i love it.
