our morning was quite queit after the first 30 mins where all of our "day-patients" which had to be admitted came in and everyone decided that they wanted to call and make an appointment within the first 30 mins of opening! After that, we had the odd busy 5 mins here and there but then when it got to home time for people (and later on me!) it want manic!! Always the way!!! Glad some of you had a relaxing day though!

Our morning was crazy! I was on my own for first 2 hours (no receptionist in and other nurse didn't start till 10) and the phone was constantly ring ring ring!!! The vets were fab though, i said to one of them i hadn't had a chance to put the cat castrate i'd admitted into a kennel yet so he was still in his carrier on the side in the ward, so he went off and settled him into a kennel for me The other vet admitted a cat, put him into a kennel, he pooed all over vetbed so the other vet noticed and put him in a clean kennel. All while i was stuck in reception! Thanks vets

Was so nice to have the pm and other nurse come in at 10 and take over reception so i could have a break

Our diary didn't look particularly busy but we were!! Arranged to drop meds off to 2 clients cos they couldn't get out of their street, when I got to their houses neither of them were in!!!! Supposedly stuck in the house....I think not!! Grrrr

We have been quiet today

The weeks runnig upto xmas were mental and so i expected we would be run off our feet today but its been rather quiet..............

Nope, you're not the only one, we've been ridiculously quiet today too! Only a couple of Christmas present puppies and none of the usual Christmas emergencies! I did a shift at Vets Now yesterday too, expecting it to be crazy busy, but nope, it was steady but by no means busy. What's going on...?

Hey! We were all expecting a manic day too but it just didn't materialise...... nice tho! And quite a few appts cancelled as well..... the vet on-call on x-mas day (when I was on calll) saw 3 people for various things but didn't call me out (Thanks!) and they were busy at the weekend as well.
