I dont know that particular phone but I have had several sony erricssons over the years and they are always fantastic! never had a problem with them and the pictures always come out clear, the taking of the picture usually takes a little longer than normal phone cameras because the cameras on the phones are like a proper camera so it usually has autofocus then auto flash, which I love and find really useful, but as said before it does take a little longer to take a photo

I don't know anything about the phone but the best bit of advice I can give is, go into the shop and ask to try one out. The camera may be good but if it takes too long to take the photo (my old one did, good camera took seconds to take the photo) the moment will pass.

I have found loads of sites that will do it for free/ cheap but none that will do my phone- nokia N95.
It appears that this phone can only be unlocked by the service provider unless someone else knows otherwise?

Anyway I have decided to purchase myself a shiny new phone
Has anyone used the sony erricsson c510? Looks pretty good, got some good reviews and looks like a good camera.
Any reviews?

most of the time local markets have a stall there that unlock it for you for about £5

Thanks, will see if I can find somewhere to do it now, really dont want to give up my phone!

Shouldn't affect it in any way - I unlocked my Mum's when she had just got it out on a contract so I could use it

Thanks for replies, will try and get to a shop and see what they say.

Does anyone know if they can unlock the phone while its still in use or will it affect it?

we are having the problem of unlocking my new phone as well. try any phone shops near you, they will normally charge for it but it may work. As already said, there are some good internet places out there but it is always hard to seperate the "good" ones from the "bad"!!!

We've got a phone shack in our town and they'll unlock any phone for £3.95, see if there's one near you.

3 are obligied to give you the code if you ring up & ask them, however they willtry to charge you for it!

I did mine online, you pay a few pound and they give you a code and instructions on how to do it.

I got mine unlocked a few years ago, think I just went into one of the phone shops and asked and they were able to do it.
