As to the care home the hospital wanted a couple of their residents from house my dad is going to went there. Apparently they escaped back within 2 weeks.

Not sure how much it is my folks may just be eligable for help towards it (not all) so crossing fingers, if not it is £410/week

home my parents have to pay full price. The 2 l had time to ring today
410 and 610/week have to make a lot of calls tomorrow trying to sort a
place as everywhere closed on fri/sat/sun FFS.

Will look at a
week in a care home then get him home with extra help in place. The 400
could get a lot of home help/ week and at least at home so one less
hassle for me from my mum.

Not ideal with her ribs but it is a
choice of 3 hell hole home for free.. pvt care a fortune or home with
my mums bruising but extra help.

Re: No Holiday

Forget leigh 2 repots one a friend who used to work for age concern..
This m about 8 hysterical call from mum has crashed the car. I shot round she had decided to drive to my house and went to defrost her car. She is not a good enough driver for these conditions and l was going to arrnge later in the morning to collect her.

Somehow starting the car and stepping back to defrost it "set off backwards on its own" She was pushed out the way and fell hust back and ribs. The car jamed between fence post and rail on steps. The door was open and pushed backwards towards the bonnet. Took 4 neighbours and l 30mins to bounce push and shove to get it un trapped then close the door.

It will need l think new door and side panel over the l it is rumpled and possibly bent the door / windscreen pillar. I have confiscated her keys as she refuses to leave the car alone and not drive it. I have said if that door slams open as it took 2 people to close it it is going to do serious damage, esp if it hits someone or will cause her to crash. Let alone any damage to the chassi.

Then went to visit my dad, he is better pain wise still bad chest and fluid in upper airway. Then took my mum to a & e she did not want to go but l said we can see turns out was a 4 to 5hr wait so at 12 l said look if you have done a rib like you say it will just be paracetomol (that is what happened before) so if need be l will take her tomorrow evening or next couple of days and if bust we will have to arrange my dad to care home post hospital till she is well.

A woman with badly # rist/arm came in and sat by me after 10mins her husband tried to speak to her, her head was rolled back, she was white, sweating and her eyes rolled up and horizontal nystagmus. I said go tell them she needs immediate triage and treatment. He went off and came back tried to get her to stand up and l said wheelchair over there. A QUALIFIED nurse walked out and poked the womans arm said is the problem here... FFS!!! the woman screamed and copllapsd again. nursey went to get a wheelchair, THEN said to the husband take her to the car park to cool down. He had to go and stand with a patient in deep shock in the middle of the car park l was just gobsmacked it was unreal.

Re: No Holiday

aww big hugs, dont take any crap from the hosp, your dad should get the care which we provide in surgery!
