I felt like this but you will be surprised how much information will be in your brain at the end of the year! When I was revising for my exams I thought, ah, I understand and remembered it. I am alot more knowledgable now than what I was when I first began. I think that you will feel better at the end of the year, it will all eventually stick.

Haha! That is true I think once your qualified it is surprising how much info you keep to mind, esp the anatomy/physiology stuff you may not think about daily. Its the kind of job you carry on learning throughout though, always something new to learn!

before I moved out I had them all over my bathroom and my nan would memorise one word then try and talk about it quite often she would be chatting about a tapeworm causing a compound fracture(had my worm poster next to my type of fracure poster)! ha bless her!

I am always honest with what l know/don't know. Trouble is as soon as someone asks me l tend to go blank, I walk off and then remember, one of the reasons l am not a teacher.Other than the fact l hate teaching.

I do however tell people to look things up then come and ask or discuss it only because to often people want the answers given with no effort to themselves.

You've hit the nail on the head there! I'm a 2nd year SVN, and our 1st year asks me questions, i answer then realise that i've learnt it and remembered it! Such a nice feeling

you would be suprised at how much you really are reataining! I did my exam in july and thought that it had all gone already but someone asked a question the other day and a lot of it came flooding back!

put loads of posters up helped me so so so much I can still see the posters now and what they look like even though they have been down for 3 months!

Its all about practice!! There will come a time when you do or say things automatically, without thinking and then there will be a new SVN asking for your advice & you'll be able to dish it out, without thinking and then you'll realise that have remembered & learnt stuff. Then once you're as old as me (or Caro, but don't tell her I said that) you'll forgot it all and be glad there are new SVNs to tell you what you've forgotten!!

Keep going, you'll be great eventually!!
