AND...it's happened. Car is damaged after skidding into the kerb and now needs a front wheel alignment i'm guessing. I'm the only nurse in tomorrow so have to manage to take the car to work without crashing and then find some time to take it to a garage near work - on xmas eve of all days - when everybody with regular jobs leave work early!! yippee!

I think it'll be white for us too. It's really snowing again on top of what was already there! Still can't get my car up my drive! Looks like it'll be living on the kerb for a few more days. I don't care much for snow.

Definately going to be a white christmas with us!! Been snowed in so couldnt get to work (i work in a practice 55 miles away!) which is a bit annoying! Plenty time for revision though! :D

Well the tiny bit of snow we had has turned Southampton into an ice rink! I just had the most scary drive to work. There are smashed up cars everywhere!

One of my neighbours skidded down the hill in the car and has smashed my fence to smithereens
I was very lucky though as I usually park my car just where he hit but had moved it to the front as I was worried about cars slipping there.

Its been very pretty snow today, big, fluffy flakes that hasnt turned to slush yet. Will prob be a big sheet of ice tomorrow though.

warmest thermometer reading I got today was a chilly -1 at lunchtime and tonight is reading -4 . the cats are superglued to the hearth - I think the furthest they have moved today was either foodbowl or litter tray.

still no snow here - we seem to be the only part of Kent that has missed it - and some areas had up to 8 inches of the stuff.....

it's a lot warmer today and even the icy bird water dishes have unfrozen.

I know its bad luck but it was a good day. U didnt get hurt and u didnt hurt anyone and while getting a new car or repairing your car is a pain its fixable.

Glad your ok and feel for u as I did this last thursday and hit a curb. I only needed a new wheel thankfully and I stayed at mums last night as it was so bad waether wise.

I used to love the snow! until I crashed my car on black ice yesterday!

Well I wouldnt say I crashed it!, car slipped on black ice, car went to the side of the rd on the edge of ditch! couldnt move my car as it kept wheelspinning! Hubby and stepdad came to help me move it to no avail, so we moved the car more in the ditch out of other cars way! Stepdad drove me home whilst hubby went back to work as he was in his royal mail van! Got a call from hubby when I got home to say as he went past my car a little later saw another car skid and smash in the back of my car! What luck! Its a right off!

Could have been alot worse as everyone keeps telling me!

we had nearly another inch last night - just hoping the coal man can get to me now. Not desperate and wont be for a few weeks but doesnt harm to get it in while the road is still passable

I hate the snow!!!! Grumble grumble, its cold and its wet!!! I should of been born somewhere hot!

I will however admit Clarebears picture is alright.

I finished work at 5. Didn't get home until 7! Normally takes 15 mins! Bloody car wouldn't start so had to get a jump start and then the traffic and roads were horrendous! Loads and loads of snow!!

We've got snooooooooooooooooooooooow! At last it's come to us! Looking out early evening to see it starting, got thicker so my dad, Jack and i went out for a walk in it! Was so beautiful, nobody else was out walking so we were at the beach and in the park on our own in the fresh snow Luckily i'm not at work tomorrow...they say we've got more coming overnight!

I've had enough of the snow! HAving to work 8-7 last week, and probably this week as no-one can get to us! Receptionist snowed in, other nurses not willing to drive! Thinking i may have to leave my flat window open so i can't get downstairs to work! Bored of it now!!

YAY we have about 3 inches here at my parents!!! shame we have to go out tomorrow to get my car mot'd and get the food shopping!!!!

I love looking out at snow.Whole new ballgame if I have to go out in it. Fell over 25 yrs ago on the ice and broke my ankle. Wrecked the joint and it gets more painful every year. Now I hate any slippery surfaces. Fretting now as snow is forcast here over night and I am dreading the morning.

got snow here yest (it doesnt usually lie as live on the cliffs), however it white WOOHOO. had a 40th party in the country last night, bit slippery but great fun. Icey today I love it all!!!!!

We've had quite a lot of snow over this way. My hounds love it!!! It's turning a bit icy though! Had some more last night. Wonder if it will be around for xmas!
