Very true...my VN Times starting going to work all of a sudden (don't quite know why!) and i didn't get it cos other people would open it without looking! So asked them to send it home again, mine, all mine!

Much better to get any correspondence like that delivered to home anyway I think as you never know when you may change jobs, and to be honest, its better having it delivered home as you can be sure you will get it

As far as I know, NVQ2 vet nurses can receive the VN times, and from NVQ3 onwards, you can receive the Vet Times and the VN Times. Give them your details and they will post them to your home or work address.

Its wierd. I still feel like I should be busy revising or doing portfolio if I'm not doing anything! started filling my time making revision cards for our 1st yr student! slowly getting used to having some me time! ha! its so worth it vicky especially when you realise that all your hard work has been worth it! good luck with all your exams!

It was back when we had the 'worst thing you've seen' thread that was removed. she was the one that went posting it all up on the pet forums. I don't know what her account is here now. but i'm almost positive she still reads the forum and might even post under a fake name. hence why i'm so paranoid about what we say on here sometimes. :(

Surely you must know who the poster's username was at the time she was messaging you/leaving comments on your profile though. If you supply those details to Arlo I would have thought that, even if you don't know who they are now, Arlo could have a good stab at working it out or blocking the IP address of the original poster or something.

Yes, Arlo and I did work out who it was sending the messages to me, but i don't know if she's still on here and what her name is now! he blocked the ones we worked out at the time. I had already spoken to Arlo about it then at the time, i guess he just didn't remember...

I think its all down to the cost of treatment. If the tables were turned and the country had no NHS I'm sure these people wouldn't see doctors/nurses as angels who are only in the profession because they care either, probably see them as 'money grabbing' too. A lot of these numpties seem to think because we work with animals we should do all sorts of treatments for free, obviously because they were forced to get a pet (or several) despite not being able to afford them as it's compulsory

its horrible that people think that way of us. we all work hard and are obviously very dedicated to our jobs. it really annoys me that people think we only care about the money. as if we would do our job for the money!!! i swear the next person that mans about fees and says they are paying my wage im gonna ask them to pay me more because minimum wage is hard to live off!

i agree with the others, there is always someone who feels the need to put us down. do what i do and dont think about it

I know it can be disheartening, my sis is a human nurse and my family's pride and joy - they wonder when I'm going to get a proper job!!! Don't let it get to you, go by the reaction of your clients you see face to face regularly. There will always be people ready to put us down - my advice is life's too short to worry what negative and insulting people think xxx
