You could try asking STRVN - she's rottie crazy

Otherwise, get Kathy to get all the vet schools to put out a group email to all the students/staff. A woman in Glasgow was being posted overseas for 2yrs a year or so ago and got a vet student to foster hers (2 x Labs) that way.

We're in Oxfordshire....Kathy would be willing to travel anywhere to find a good foster home for Fredi and is more than happy to cover any costs for the dog

It's definitely worth a try and much better option than kennels. I did do a short-term (2 months) foster years ago and it broke my heart when I had to give him back but I will ask around as you never know.

What area/county are you in just in case?

I agree i think its going to be very difficult to find someone to foster for that length of time but its worth a try. The other option is kennels, there is one that has a few of the rescue rotts, its quite remote and they get a walk each day

I'm afraid that I wouldn't be prepared to give her the dog back if I'd looked after it for over a year as I would be too attached to it.
