Has anyone used VetStat?
What are the differences between this and VetLyte?

Aint used the vetlyte for a few years (5)!!!

Vetlyte only measures: Na, K, Cl.

Where as with the vetstat you can measure lots more.....

The following bullet points show what the different cassettes test. the machine works independently from the vettest machine too, has an internal battery and therefore portable if needed in wards or theatre for monitoring critical patients

Electrolytes: Na+, K+, Cl–

Fluid Therapy/Acid-Base: pH, PCO2, HCO3, anion gap, Na+, K+, Cl–, TCO2

Respiratory/Blood Gas: pH, PO2, PCO2, HCO3, anion gap, Na+ , K+, Cl–, TCO2

Ionised Calcium: Ca++

Glucose: GLU

We mainly keep the Electrolyte and blood gas cassettes in, but as we expand our medicine service may end up using the other cassettes.

Also can use whole blood either venous or arterial samples.
