Make sure you read the question, they can and do change the task, so it can be either leg.

Including the hock is fine for bandaging the tarsal area as this is an anchor point. While I don't think you would be failed on bandaging the elbow, there may be questioning about why you want to include such a wide area when the dressing may only need to cover the carpus. You only need to bandage as far up as mid radius/ulna when doing carpal dressings.

heyi think the dog tht is used in the exam will be a larger one therefore an it will be obvious if u have taken the bandage far enough or not. I have been at my practical revision this week and as far as we have practiced, we have only taken the badage past the carpal joint. I will check tomorrow with the pplz and check wether you should or shouldnt do this x

I think you are meant to do it to the letter but I passed my first bandaging practical (SB07) and I included the elbow - I did explain to the examiner that the forelimb had no obvious carpal joint so I continued to the elbow to avoid it slipping. I would adv to stick to exact points in the tasks though, but not to panic if you think you've gone a bit higher??

I would imagine you would have to do as asked, or you will probably fail the task.
