I have worked in equine practices and we have used total parental nutrition for neonatal and dummy foals and we gave a horse that had a 3 week old gastric impaction partial parental nutrition. We got all of ours from a hospital ready made up for us. &lt;p&gt;However, my sisters boxer looked really emaciated after having pups 4 years ago, she would have appeared to the public as a real cruelty/starvation case, which wasnt the case as she was being looked after really well by my sister and also my parents.&amp;nbsp; However, I dont recall her looking just as emaciated as that little lab &lt;img src="http://www.vetnurse.co.uk/emoticons/new/Crying_smiley.gif" alt="Crying" /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;We&amp;#39;ve tried her on a-d but it&amp;#39;s too much for her so wanting to skip the whole digestive stage, it&amp;#39;s truly shocking the state she is in, SSPCA don&amp;#39;t seem to be too interested either, but that&amp;#39;s a whole other topic!
