Cheers Fluffy! Shame I've gotta leave in order to undertake extra learning! Thnx for the comments, never thought of myself that way before

Am really not looking forward to my last day think it's gonna be really emotional. Been with my current practice for 5 years now and have some really close mates there. Been with them since it was two vets and a four room extension to what we got now!

Congratulations Nick I am sure you will be a great asset to the NHS - you have been great here and I really hope to still see you around on here - you give great balanced, informed and accurate advice - I shall miss reading your regular updates but seriously GOOD LUCK and enjoy every minute!!! I couldn't wait to leave my old practise but was still a mess on my last day so expect to be well and truly minced with emotion

Good luck! I started my first placement in a hospital last month and its been great (doing physiology degree). Relaxed, calm , organised..... big shock to the system after vet practice! I was staying with two student radiographers - seems to be an interesting job and i'm sure you'll know a lot already. Hope it all goes really well

Well it's all official as of today! Handed my notice in! Don't think it's sank in yet will be very sad to be leaving one of the best places I have ever worked at!

Am sure on my last day I will ball like a baby that has had it's favourite toy away from it

Congratulations, it sounds really interesting. I kind of wished I trained for an NHS job instead of this one - more money, security etc.

One of my best friends is a radiographer, I took her for a tour of my practice, she loved our x-ray machine (an ex mobile hospital unit) and exclaimed that our had 'knobs on' she trained on a similar machine and modern machines are all buttons and not knobs!

i dont know much about mri or ct but interested, all sounds great. The only thing that would put me off would be working with public day in day out

im the only one at work who really likes it! my friends friend is a radiographer down south and she LOVES it. when my bf goes to hosp for his xrays and scans I want to know about it all x

Aye bit scary thou!! Glad there are others out there who enjoy radiography!! You never know might try and develop a veterinary radiography qualifications for nurses in the future think there is a real call for it, but others don't!
