I have just been on their website and found their SAFTEY instructions. They Should be ideally be replaced every 3 years (thats the same thing as on my hot water bottle, So I use common sense here and if damaged I will not use it!)

Regards to re-heating you should only do once completly cool, and this is approx 10hrs.

Yes I bought myself a couple when I first heard about them brilliant - would rec them to anybody. have even been known to stick a heated one in my handbag (I have large handbags) if I know I am going to be waiting ages for a bus. everybody around me freezes and I stay toasty warm

I found an ancient one at work, looked ok so heated it up. Didn't realise it had burst until I felt something wet and warm down my top!

do u guys all have these for use at home aswell as work, how much do they cost? i'm very tempted now that it is coming up to winter and is already freezing!!

will def keep an eye on mine then as they are about 6 years old now! and have had quite a bit of abuse (great for defrosting icebound freezers)

we used to heat ours more than once in 24hrs also! Do you know why you can't?

I'm pretty sure it says "replace every 3 years" on mine

Have seen old ones swell with a bubble in the middle!

I use these in practice and ours are coming up for 3 years old and heated every day. Only had one which went a bit funny, seemed to "blow" & I returned it to wholesalers, who replaced it FOC. I know that you can't heat them twice in 24 hours, but no idea of how long they're going to last!

thanks for looking for me - will just keep an eye on these , both are about 6 years old - but seem ok. have just put them in my bed - using two so I get the chance of grabbing one before the cats do

On a different note, I remember my old HVN microwaving one and just turning the dial and got distracted......made quite a mess in the microwave - oops
